You can’t help but love money wheels, can you? They’re reminiscent of Wheel of Fortune, the hit TV game show from the 80s and 90s. The thing is, only a select few were lucky enough to start on the show when it aired in countries such as the US and the UK.
We’re seeing more games present with money wheels than ever before because of how popular they are. But Sweet Bonanza Candyland, a game created by leading software provider Pragmatic Play, has been on somewhat of a journey to get to where it is today.
It would have been effortless for Pragmatic Play to develop a money wheel game straight off the bat. We have seen it before from the likes of Evolution Gaming, who have titles such as Dream Catcher and Crazy Time in their collection.
But instead, Pragmatic Play use one of their hit slots in Sweet Bonanza as a source of inspiration to develop Sweet Bonanza Candyland. But you probably already guessed that when you saw the title of the game.
As well as including two epic bonus rounds called Candy Drop and Sweet Spins, Pragmatic have also worked hard to reimagine Sweet Bonanza as a live casino game. So, for example, the set is loaded with candy, colour and even the presenters are well dressed for the occasion.
Then you have the wheel, which is again packed with punchy colours across the multiple segments. For this port into the live casino scene to work, Pragmatic had to get the visuals on point, and they do. You’re playing a dream and candy infused game, and you’re doing so in a setting that matches.
The Sweet Bonanza Wheel
If you have played Crazy Time by Evolution Gaming, you will know what to expect where the Sweet Bonanza Wheel is concerned. It’s split into fifty-four segments, where different colours represent the different numbers and bonuses. So you get numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10 appearing on the wheel. And in addition to the numbered sections, you get two Sugar Bomb segments, two Candy Drops and one Sweet Spins.
Of course, the aim of the game is for the segment or segments you have placed wagers on to be where the ticker is pointing when the wheel stops spinning. And, as always, we recommend that players consider the bonus segments as good opportunities.
Bonus Features
On the all-important Sweet Bonanza wheel, you have five segments dedicated to three bonuses, and now we’re going to reveal why you should always consider them in your thinking when placing wagers before the game begins.
Sweet Spins will see a 6x5 game area come into play, with X amount of spins to go through. To pick up a win, players will need to see eight or more matching icons in view simultaneously. Symbols involved in wins will be removed and replaced, and the bonus round ends when no further wins are found.
Candy Drop will require punters to pick one of three candies presented to them. Every candy starts at x1, where multipliers are concerned, and they will then be dropped down a pachinko wall, with the values collected combining with the multiplier to produce a payout.
Sugar Bomb will immediately grant players a multiplier of up to 10x. The presenter will then re-spin the wheel, with the multiplier coming into play to boost winnings. There is also the option to trigger the Sugar Bomb booster throughout, which will increase bets by 25%, but multipliers will double as a result.
